How is PEV Seeds’ Golden Goat?

It is a hybrid with a clear tendency towards the sativa side, which grows strongly when conditions are ideal. It contains a really superior vigour, which gives it an unusual resistance. This is interesting for several reasons, first because it allows you to withstand inclement weather and environmental stress without problems. But above all it is important for new growers, who can make irrigation or feeding mistakes, and Golden Goat holds up better than most commercial genetics.

What genetics does Golden Goat have?

This is a really interesting cross, originally created in Kansas, when a Hawaiian X Romulan male pollinated a select female Island Sweet Skunk. Both Romulan and Island Sweet Skunk come from Canada, in the Vancouver area of British Columbia.

The result of the crossing is a well-balanced hybrid, as it mixes well the 3 parts involved in the crossing, although, of course, with clear predominance sativa.

How is feminized Golden Goat cultivated?

In indoor cultivation we recommend applying the SCROG method, if you don't want them to be too high. With 4 plants per square meter is enough, the ideal is to apply the F.I.M. pruning to the main tip in the fourth or fifth knot, and then prune the secondary branches again. Doing this you will need about 4 weeks of vegetative growth cycle to fill well the mesh or net, and thus make good use of the entire growing space.

If you want to give less time of vegetative cycle you have to put more plants per square meter, with 9 you would not need more than 2 or 3 weeks to 18 hours to cover well the whole area of cultivation.

In outdoor cultivation Golden Goat develops fully, especially in temperate climates with many sunny days a year. The best thing is that with little care is able to produce above normal.

We advise you to look for a good place in your garden that has at least 6 hours of direct sunshine, a large pot or hole, a good commercial substrate or a nutrient-rich mix, and constant watering but respecting the dry cycle. That's it, the Golden Goat won't ask you for anything special, but if you treat it with affection it will give you back the heaviest harvest you can imagine.

When is Golden Goat harvested?

It is quite early to flower and mature, especially considering the large sativa load it contains. In indoor cultivation it takes about 10 weeks to complete its flowering cycle. There are growers who prefer to cut it with 11 weeks, and others who cut it with only 9 weeks of flowering, lovers of the cerebral effect who think that harvesting later loses part of the sativa character.

Outdoors is usually harvested in mid-October in the northern hemisphere. If you cultivate it in the southern hemisphere you will cut it in the middle of April approximately.

How much does PEV Seeds Golden Goat produce?

This is its most representative feature, since the Golden Goat is capable of producing immense harvests, especially outdoors. In indoor cultivation with HPS 600 w. can easily give you 17,6 oz per 3x3ft (500 grams per square meter).

When you have enough sun outdoors is easy to exceed the dry kilo of production, even reaching over 105,8 oz (3 kilos) when grown without limiting factors.

What does feminized Golden Goat taste like?

The hybrid vigour of this variety is well appreciated in its organoleptic qualities. The citrus, sweet and earthy notes of their parents are perfectly combined. One factor to bear in mind when growing Golden Goat indoors is its powerful aroma during flowering, inherited from Sweet Skunk. This aroma attracts own and strangers, and can cause a problem if you do not put the necessary means to control it.

What effect does Golden Goat have?

Its effect is basically sativa plant, with a powerful mental high that seems to have no end. You can hardly feel the physical decline, especially if you don't smoke too much or if you don't let it mature too much.

The potency is very high, it is one weed that you need more experience to consume it than to grow it. A very appropriate effect for going out to parties or meetings with friends, enjoying music or inspiring yourself to compose, paint, etc.
