To fix the most famous features of the Critical we use a Critical Auto to pollinate the elite clone known as "Critical Bilbo", as we think it is the best selection in the history of this genetics.
By backcrossing we manage to stabilize the best features of the clone in all the offspring, which enjoys a great homogeneity in general. Genetically it contains very little of its ruderalis ancestors, possibly just enough to be able to auto-flower.
Overall it is a very complete plant. Its morphology improves the ungainly structure of Critical Bilbo, producing more robust stems, and shortening the distance between knots. However it branches out from the early stages and in flowering it creates buds beyond its capabilities.
Its development is so fast that you can almost see it grow and bloom, it's hard to believe how much it changes from one day to the next one.
It is not the easiest commercial variety to grow in the market, but it can be in the top 3 of this ranking. Recommended for new growers or those with little experience, its great hybrid vigour and resistance give it an incredible hardness.
In indoor cultivation it produces more the more hours and intensity of light you give it. In our tests it performed better with a photoperiod of 20 hours of light and 4 of darkness, although with 18 hours of light and 6 of darkness it also generates a huge harvest. By putting 9 plants per 3x3ft (square meter), in 4-5,2 US gal (15 or 20 liters) pots, they will fill the whole cultivation area without any problem.
Don't forget to check the functioning of the anti-odour systems of your indoor crop before you put these seeds in there. The aroma it produces during flowering is intoxicating, delicious, but can easily give you away.
When you grow outdoors you prefer a larger capacity pot, 6,6-7,9 US gal (25 or 30 litres) is fine, especially in spring and summer crops. In many places you can get several harvests per year of Critical Auto in outdoor cultivation.
Speed is one of the most outstanding qualities of this girl, both indoors, which only needs about 70 days from germination, and outdoors, which takes about 80 days.
If you set it up properly you can do an outdoor crop starting in early spring, which would end shortly before summer. Once you harvest those you can go back to sprouting Critical Autoflowering, and these you can harvest before the arrival of autumn, and in many areas you can still get a last outdoor harvest.
Like its photodependent sister, Critical Autoflowering produces a lot, fast and of high quality. It is not surprising that this genetics is considered to be the most commercial on the market, because it is difficult (If not impossible) to achieve a higher yield of buds in less time.
In indoor crops illuminated with 600 w. HPS it is easy to achieve more than 17,6 oz per 3x3ft (500 grams per square meter). An expert grower can exceed grams/watt with this strain without problems.
With each outdoor plant you can obtain a yield of between 1,76 and 3,5 oz per plant (50 and 100 grams) on average. But if you grow it optimally during the spring/summer season it can give you more than 5,3 oz (150 grams) a single plant.
One of the clear objectives in creating this variety was to be able to faithfully recreate the organoleptic qualities of Critical Mass. Thanks to the backcross with the elite clone this has been achieved, and the Critical Autoflowering also has that intense sweet aroma and flavor, very fruity, typical of their ancestors, the genetic Skunk.
It produces a very dense smoke to be autoflowering, but if you wash the roots well at the end of the crop it does not scratch at all. The taste of the Autoflowering Critical does not disappoint anyone.
The type of effect is a well-balanced hybrid, as yo can feel both brain activity and body relaxation. Its power is relatively high, but it doesn't kill you. it is perfect for meetings with friends, as it invites you to socialize and laugh.
