Pev Bank Seeds is pleased to introduce the new Sirona CBD, the first legal cannabis strain in Europe. It is a plant just like any modern psychoactive hybrid, resistant, productive, fast, tasty and with an above average resin level. But the most interesting thing about the Sirona CBD is one that it is not visible to the naked eye, as its chemotype hides the highest proportion of CBD than THC in the market. Pure medicine!
This is an extensive cannabis breeding work, for which two exotic plants were used, a rare Himalayan sativa and the Mongolian Ruderalis. Both parents contain a special cannabinoid profile, which served as a basis for starting to select lines of work, with the intention of lowering the amount of THC while raising the level of Cannabidiol.
The most important quality of this plant is undoubtedly its chemotype, as it contains at most 0.3% THC, which makes it legal in many countries. In this sense it is a world first, which we are very proud to present to you.
At first it is impossible to distinguish this variety from high THC plants, as they are apparently identical. The Sirona has sativa hybrid morphology, it grows forming a solid but branched structure, with high knot spacing, strong stems and rather narrow leaves.
Perceives the signs to enter flowering before most photodependent plants, perhaps because some of its ancestors are semi-autoflowering. It produces good size buds, of medium hardness and density, very aromatic, and with a very good level of trichomes both in flowers and in the leaves attached to the buds.
In indoor cultivation you have 2 interesting options, put 16 plants per 3x3ft (m2) in 1.8 US gal (7 liter) pots with 2 or 3 weeks of growth, or put 4 to 9 plants per 3x3ft (m2) but with more than 1 month of growth, in which we would do several pruning to try to fill all the space of cultivation.
Outdoors, it takes place in all its fullness, both outdoors and in a greenhouse. If you germinate the seeds at the beginning of spring you can make a tree, especially if you transplant to mother earth before the summer. If you leave it in a pot, try to make it as big as possible, because this variety appreciates the space, both in the root system and in the growing area.
Wherever you grow it, try not to overdo it with fertilization, more does not always mean better, and Sirona does not need much fertilizer to yield well. Choose natural nutrition and if possible be low in Nitrogen with respect to Phosphorus and Potassium.
Its flowering cycle has been set to a standard time, the fact of introducing Ruderalis genes in an almost wild sativa has lowered its flowering to a great extent. In indoor cultivation requires about 8 weeks to complete maturation.
Outdoors depends on environmental conditions and hours of sunshine, and in some places may need 10 days or even 2 weeks more than in others. The ancestors of this strain come from very northern latitudes and usually ends in late September or early October in the northern hemisphere. If you grow it in the southern hemisphere, the further away from the equator the better, but you will usually cut it from late March to early April.
One of the aspects that surprised us most about this plant is its ability to bloom again and again. This is a feature that we had only seen in pure Sativa and some Haze hybrids and is a considerable increase in overall yield.
In indoor crops illuminated with 600w HPS it is easy to achieve a output of more than 17.6 oz per 3x3ft (500 grams per m2). Outdoors with each plant you can exceed 35.3 oz (1 kilo) of dry buds but, as I said before, transplanting to mother soil before summer arrives and if it can be in an aerated and organic substrate.
Surprisingly intense and we say surprising because the parents did not exactly stand out for their organoleptic qualities. But by selecting and isolating the most complete specimens we have managed to stabilize a sweet, floral and fruity aroma that ends up resulting in a consistent and very pleasant taste of soft smoke and delicious bouquet.
In cannabic extractions these nuances are concentrated, giving very tasty extracts. For users who need cannabis in a therapeutic way it is one of the best products they can get.
Psychoactivity is null, because the large percentage of Cannabidiol that it contains omits the psychotropic effects of THC.
Some people are beginning to use this type of cannabis to smoke daily as if it were tobacco. It's a good way to enjoy the taste of cannabis without getting high, and it's also much healthier, since it doesn't contain all the harmful elements that normal cigarettes do.
If you were looking for a cannabis strain with very low THC and high CBD levels this is the one for you. Take your Sirona seeds with you now and start enjoying the healthiest cannabis in history - Don't wait for them to tell you!
